The BaByliss PRO FOILFX02 is fitted with a beefy rechargeable battery that provides up to 3 hours of cordless use. The manufacturer also recommends charging the battery for 3 hours before using the shaver for the first time. It’s a great tool for barbers or for men who cut their own hair (for skin fades) or shave their head.

Precisely, the hair must be short. The manufacturer recommends 1/32 of an inch, which is really short. Babyliss used a powerful rotary motor in this hard shaver for handling heavy-duty even on coarse head hairs.I think the device has a good enough built quality and comparably better machine than the alternatives. Again the Babyliss Pro shaver comes with two hypoallergenic foils and very sharp cutting blades that can cut hairs and beards smoothly in a comfortable manner. Again, the body of the shaver is fully made with stainless steel which looks more glossy and heavy than other electric shavers. One of the reasons why I managed to get such a close shave is that the FOILFX02 is also reasonably comfortable.

And I say that because usually, these foil shavers (like the Andis ProFoil or the Wahl Finale) are quite aggressive and harsh.

I’ve been reviewing electric razors for 10 years and whenever I see one that isn’t waterproof, I immediately think that cleaning it will be more difficult and fiddly. Last year the first white hairs started to grow on my face and I decided to stop styling a beard. I don’t know how it’s gonna be by the age of 40, but by now I tend to prefer to look younger and those white hairs that just appered last year don’t look well.This gives it a premium look and feel and sets it apart from the other two similar shavers mentioned above.

The pair of blades and the foil head of the BaBylissPRO FXFS2 will probably need to be changed more often compared to the ones of a typical foil shaver. The powerful rotary motor and the powerful battery are really appreciable that can provide professional-grade precision shaving. so, when you are fine-tuning and detailing, you will find yourself loving the tightness of the blade. It will give you how much battery is left, so you always know when charging gets necessary: 75% - 50% - 25% - 0%. In my opinion, at this price point, a charging stand should have been included (the much cheaper Andis Profoil Lithium Plus Titanium comes with one).

I’ll try to share what I think about each of them and hopefully you’ll be able to decide which one would suit you the best. The battery life is nowhere near as good compared to the BaBylissPRO FOILFX02, but the ProFoil is still able to provide a respectable one hour of cordless use. The BaBylissPRO FOILFX02 will give you the closest dry shave of them all, comparable to a wet shave with the Arc 5/6. You cannot use it with shaving cream though, that’s one of the negatives. Another one would be that it will take you longer to shave your head with the BaBylissPRO compared to the S9 Pro or even the Panasonic. It only has two basic foils with limited range of motion, so it will take some extra time and effort to complete the shave.
